Logging Truck and Greyhound Involved in Crash

At this time, the South Carolina Highway Patrol has reported that it is investigating a serious accident that left 23 people injured and at least one individual critically injured.  The truck accident took place on Tuesday evening around 6:15 PM on Interstate 95.

According to officials from the Highway Patrol, 56-year-old Herald English was heading north when a bus crashed into the back of his 18 wheeler.  When the bus crashed into the logging truck, the lugs impaled the Greyhound.

Officials confirmed the identity of the Greyhound bus driving as that of 60-year-old Michael Ajrwelik, a Jacksonville resident.

Police said that 22 passengers were on the bus when the collision occurred.  18 of the passengers had to be transported to a local hospital for treatment.
