Pedestrian Dies after Getting Hit by Out of Control Car

Today, an accident occurred in Greensboro involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian.  According to police reports, the accident occurred on Saturday night at 7:25 PM on the 800 block of Raleigh Street.  Officers were called to the scene and found 35 year old Omier Abdei Wahad Mohamed had been hit by a car.

Police told news sources that 25 year old Ayman Jassour Elmir had lost control of his 2008 Ford Mustang and had ran off the road.  While traveling off the road, Elmir struck Mohamed, who was walking.  After the pedestrian accident, Mohamed had to be rushed to Cone Hospital.  Unfortunately, his injuries were so severe that he died.

Police later reported that they had officially charged Elmir with misdemeanor death by a motor vehicle.  Their investigation remains in progress.
