Two Attacked in Church Parking Lot by Dog
This week in the city of Indianapolis, it has been reported that two people are recovering after a police dog attacked them on Tuesday night. While Indianapolis Metropolitan Police are calling the dog bite incident an accident, one local mother wants consequences after the dog tore into her daughter's arm.
After church service on Sunday, 18-year-old Natalie Bradley-Wilson was seriously attacked by a police dog. The owner, who is a police officer, allowed the dog to roam off of its leash. The dog darted from a nearby yard, entered the parking lot and attacked the young woman.
Bradley-Wilson said, "The dog latched onto my arm, but I had a big red blanket around me and so I didn't know that it was a dog at first because I couldn't see it." The canine then continued its attack and eventually knocked the girl to the ground.
Natalie told news sources that the dog ripped into her flesh. She went on to say, "He was shaking his head to tear it off. He was growling. I saw his teeth. I grabbed a hold of his nose at one point and he was growling at me then, and his eyes were on me, and I was terrified." She also said that the dog went for her neck and that is when another man in the parking lot interceded. She was able to escape the dog and ran into the church to find her mother, Jamie Johnson.
Police say that while the dog is trained using an arm guard, it is possible that it became confused.
