McDonalds Sued for Slip and Fall

A McDonald's Restaurant franchise finds itself being sued by a customer for a slip and fall accident.

According to Eva Boudreaux, who filed suit against R.E.E. Inc. and manager Elise Batiste this week, she slipped and fell in a newly-mopped area of the restaurant. As a result, she injured herself and is still suffering. The incident happened on April 23, 2009 at the McDonald's on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd in Beaumont.

The suit goes on to say that, "Prior to her return, an employee had walked by the area with a soaked mop that he had used to clean up a spill. No wet signs were present at the time of the plaintiff's fall." Since the store failed to offer a remedy to the wet floor and neglected to warn dangers of imminent danger, Boudreaux is asking for alleged past and future medical expenses, pain, mental anguish, disfigurement and lost wages. Court costs are also being requested by the suit.
