Young Man Loses Life during Vegas Motorcycle Accident

A young man lost his life in a motorcycle accident when he collided with another vehicle in Las Vegas.

According to police reports the 24-year-old man was riding a 2003 Suzuki motorcycle on Decatur Blvd when a 2000 Nissan Quest van turned left in front of the motorcycle. As a result the rider was ejected from his motorcycle and landed 40 feet from the crash scene.  Even though the young rider was quickly transported to University Medical Center he later died from multiple injuries due to the motorcycle accident.

Officers investigating the accident believe that prescription drugs may be to blame for the accident; however, they will not know for sure until blood test results are returned. In addition, excessive speed could have contributed to the accident.

This motorcycle accident is the first fatal crash reported in North Las Vegas for this year.
