Matt Hardy Arrested After Suspected Drunk Driving Accident

TNA Wrestling Superstar, Matt Hardy was placed under arrest on suspicion of driving while impaired after running his '09 Corvette off the road and into a tree last Saturday.

TMZ.com reported that North Carolina troopers discovered his car after it had collided with the tree, and Matt Hardy without any injuries.

At the scene of the accident, a trooper placed Hardy under arrest after observing signs of drunken driving, according to reports. Hardy submitted to a blood test was immediately charged with DWI, though the results of the test are pending.

Hardy was released at around 7 p.m.

Lucky to walk away without a scratch and without harming an innocent bystander on the road, Hardy could have faced much higher charges and caused much more injury if another car, truck, motorcycle, bicycle or even pedestrian was hit.
