Car Accident Claims Life of Father and Injures Daughter
This week, a man as well as his grown daughter were seriously injured after they were hit by a motor vehicle in Beaver County. The car accident took place on Monday evening at approximately 7:30 PM.
Reports indicate that the collision took place at Third Avenue and 11th Street right in front of the Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe. Police say that the woman had to be taken to Heritage Valley Medical Center for treatment of her serious injuries. The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the auto accident.
Owner of the FM Bistro and Deli, Mike McKinney, had been driving a U-Haul north on Third Avenue when he stopped his motor vehicle to let a woman cross the street. He watched a small red Nissan truck headed in the opposite direction strike to individuals, carrying a man on the hood of the vehicle for some distance.
He ran to the woman's side and she was allegedly screaming, "Where's my dad?" McKinney was taken in by police for questioning.
