2,300 Strollers Recalled
In cooperation with Lan Enterprises, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled 2,300 Zooper strollers.
The commission determined that the strollers manufactured in China between February 2009 and June 2010 posed a product liability. It was determined that an opening between the snack tray/armrest bar was large enough to allow an infant"s body to slip through, and could pose a strangulation hazard if the child is not harnessed.
Consumers who own this model have been instructed to immediately remove the armrest bar and contact the company to get a replacement model and instruction kit. Both will be available for free from Lan Enterprises starting July 1. This isn"t the first time that Zooper strollers have been recalled, however, as a similar recall took place last August.
