Little Girl Loses Life in Accident
Tragedy struck in Raleigh when a five-year-old girl lost her life in a car accident.
According to the driver, Sia Byass, she can"t remember why or how she hit the little girl, Nadia Hines. She told officers that she lost control of her car on New Hope Road. This isn"t good enough for Hines" father, Harvey, who said Byass" answer 'doesn"t make sense.' At this time police do not believe that Byass was drinking or speeding at the time of the accident. When told that the little girl had lost her life, Byass responded 'I feel it right in my heart. I feel pain.'
Although they still have not finished their investigation, Raleigh police have charged Byass with careless and reckless driving, misdemeanor death by motor vehicle, and having unsafe tires. Harvey Hines, however, hopes that Byass will be charged instead with manslaughter.
