Texting Can Lead to Fatal Accidents
Parents beware when handing your teens the keys to the family car: not enough experience on the road can lead to a fatal car accident.
According to police reports Seth Beaver, 17, was riding in a vehicle driven by 16-year-old Taylor Clark before he lost his life on the road. The accident, which happened at the intersection of Fertilizer Plant Road and Old Highway 87, was the result of Clark texting while driving.
It became illegal to text while driving in North Carolina back on Dec. 1, 2009.
