Two accidents were reported in Harnett County last Saturday, both resulting in serious injuries.
According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol two cars crashed on N.C. 210 outside of Lillington. Three people were involved in the accident, all of whom were transported to Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Police have determined that one of the vehicle was traveling westbound on Harnett Central Road while the other was going south on N.C. 210. Although the first vehicle did come to a complete stop at a stop sign, it pulled directly into the path of the second vehicle.
At this time the identities of the victims have not been released. However, a dispatcher who received the call said that "one was injured pretty badly."
Later that day another car accident involving just one vehicle happened on N.C. 87 near Spring Lake. In this case the driver was seriously injured, although no further information is available about this car accident.
