Woman Found On Side of Road Had BAC of .124%
Investigators learned this week that the woman who was found on the side of the road unconscious had a .124 blood alcohol level.
The victim, Tempie Kitchin Kerr, later passed away after being discovered face-down on St. Mary's Street near the Glenwood Avenue intersection. A CAT scan taken after her death revealed that Kerr suffered multiple head fractures due to being expelled from a vehicle moving between 10 to 15 mph. The official autopsy states that Kerr died from "blunt force injuries of the head, torso and extremities, as well as pulmonary congestion and edema with early bronchopneumonia."
She died the day after being discovered.
At this time, police have only charged the man who drove her around that night, 36-year-old Chadwick Ryan Whichard, with driving while impaired. They do not believe that foul play is involved in this drunk driving accident.
