Young Boy Suffers Brain Injury during Collision
A young boy now suffers from serious brain injury after he was involved in a multi-car pileup in Moss Point.
The accident, which happened right before 2 p.m., effectively shut down I-10 east of the Highway 63 exit for emergency crews. According to Jackson County investigators the cause of the accident might be 29-year-old Brandon Bess of Phoenix City. They believe that he was setting fires in a wooded area alongside the interstate. Although the details are not clear yet Bess did have his first court date last Monday.
The young man now faces two counts of arson. Bess told the judge that he started the fires because he was looking for help after running out of gas and money.
