Police Searching for Passenger on Capsized Boat
A capsized boat in Meagher County has police searching for a 68-year-old woman who was a passenger.
According to the Great Falls Tribune, state and local officials, as well as landowners, are conducting a massive manhunt for the missing woman. The boat, which also held her husband, capsized around 2 p.m. last Monday, nearly seven miles north of Camp Baker. Luckily another boat was nearby and heard the screams; when they turned around, they found the man clinging to a rock nearby.
However, the man urged the boaters to leave him while they went to search for his wife. The pair hiked for four hours to the closest house in order to call for help. While they were doing that, the man left the rock, made it to shore and built a fire to keep warm.
