As one of the most successful NASCAR team owners, Rick Hendrick reportedly suffered minor injuries in a plane crash in Key West last Monday night.
The owner of Hendrick Motorsports and his wife, the only two passengers on board, both suffered minor injuries when their private jet was forced to crash land at Key West International Airport.
The pilot and co-pilot also escaped with minor injuries. All four were able to walk away from the plane, yet complained of pain and were taken to Lower Keys Medical Center, according to reports.
Both the pilot and co-pilot told authorities that there were "no brakes" when he was attempting to land, which is the most likely cause of the accident.
Friends and family of the Hendricks were frightened to hear of the accident, especially because they lost several family members in a place crash not long ago.
Just a few short years ago in 2004, Rick Hendrick lost his son, brother and two nieces that were aboard a place headed for a race in Martinsville, Virginia, when it crashed in heavy fog.
While the accident that occurred on Monday could have been worse, it is still a frightening event for the Hendricks to experience.
