8 Arrested in N.C. Auto Accident Scam

In an attempt to collect a settlement through their insurance company, a group of people allegedly staged car accidents between the months of January and November of 2010 to submit false reports to a variety of auto insurance providers.

According to reports, the group has recovered around $43,970 and has had another larger claim denied.

Eight individuals have already been arrested in this alleged insurance scam while two more are being sought for criminal charges.
