Driver Responsible for Restaurant Accident Charged
After a 55 year old woman plowed into diners at a Cameron Village restaurant several weeks ago, she is facing charges of careless and reckless driving, according to reports.
The driver allegedly was pulling into a parking spot when she accelerated into the outdoor diners at the restaurant, injuring three friends who had just sat down to a meal.
All three diners were taken to a hospital, while the driver was taken to a separate facility. After investigations, the driver has been charged criminally.
According to authorities, the police believe that the woman intended to brake, but instead accelerated.
