Just a few short weeks ago, award winning actress Reese Witherspoon was injured while jogging across a crosswalk in a Santa Monica, California intersection.

The actress was crossing the street around 11 a.m. when she was struck by a car, driven by a woman from Santa Monica.

The 84-year-old driver that struck Witherspoon reportedly has stayed off the road since the accident after facing charges of failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

The driver was allegedly released and is not facing charges for the accident.
