Wake County Woman Charged with DWI Accident

Sunday night around 5:30 p.m. troopers were called to an accident in which a drunk driver allegedly going 90 miles per hour slammed into the back of another vehicle.
Driving eastbound on the US 64 in Raleigh, the 50-year-old drunk driver was said to have been going well over the speed limit when her 2005 Ford Mustang hit the back of a 2005 Volkswagen Beetle.
Upon impact, both cars were forced into a bridge rail and declared to be totaled, reports stated.
Both drivers were transported to WakeMed with minor injuries. The driver who caused the accident was later taken into custody and charged with DWI and reckless driving, with a blood alcohol level allegedly at 0.14.
