Workers Hurt in Gastonia Construction Site Explosion
Two workers at a Gastonia construction site were injured this morning after an explosion occurred at the site. The construction workers were technicians doing contractor work for an x-ray company in a trailer on the site. The trailer had a portable generator connected to a propane tank, which caught fire when they tried to turn up the generator. While neither worker was said to have life-threatening injuries, they were both transported to nearby hospitals for first and second degree burn injuries on their faces and other parts of their bodies. The company that they worked for wished a speedy recovery to both workers and is currently conducting a comprehensive investigation into the incident to determine the cause.
Has your family member been injured at their place of work? Suffering workplace injuries, such as burn injuries, can leave you without a job and with dozens of medical bills. If you have suffered any type of injury at work, regardless of fault, you can file a claim for benefits through workers' compensation.
Workers' comp is an insurance policy that all employers must provide to their employees in the event of an accident such as this. If the accident was caused due to a
defective product at work, such as possibly a defective generator, an injured person may even be able to seek compensation from the manufacturing company of the dangerous product. Only with the help of a
Raleigh injury attorney should this be attempted, however. You will need an aggressive advocate of your rights to help you understand the options you have and how you can obtain compensation for your injuries. To further discuss your case with an experienced
