Asbestos Workers' Comp Claims on the Rise

ABC News recently released new information revealing the inherent problem of asbestos in many of the mills in use throughout north Queensland that were in operation all the way up to the 1980s. Specifically, sugar industry workers are the ones who now seem to be developing asbestos-related illnesses and these maladies are believed to be a direct result of working in the sugar mills which were insulated by asbestos.

As more and more cases arise, more and more legal claims will likely be made - as they should be. Both in the U.S. and abroad, the employees of some work industries are more susceptible to the possibility of illness than others, especially when they are exposed to harmful materials such as asbestos. Whether you were made ill yourself through work-related exposure such as this, or you wish to advocate on behalf of a family member whose life was wrongfully lost too early for similar reasons, the Whitley Law Firm is here to help.

For a number of years now, we have been providing personal injury services to those in need throughout North Carolina. Although the most recent bout of asbestos illness claims have stemmed from residents of north Queensland, that is not to say that more wont later arise that are based right here in the U.S. In fact, there are currently claims of this nature being made on a regular basis. If you could be one of those individuals in need of making such a claim, we are the firm to help you do so.

Making a workers' compensation claim can be a difficult process, particularly when there is red tape involved in the process. We are here to help make sure that you are not denied the financial support and medical benefits you need to aid in your recovery after any type of work injury or illness. Therefore, we encourage you to contact our office today to speak with a member of our team who can direct you on your options and how to best proceed with your case.
